On Tuesday evening our Transition Year students came together along with family members and teachers one last time for the annual TY Night. A number of students spoke about different aspects of the year, sharing their memories of drama, Junk Kouture, Italy, work experience, the future leaders programme and the musical to name but a few. This year’s winner of the Community Care volunteer award was Aisling Delahunty, who accumulated a total of 74 hours, and received a cheque of €100 as a reward. T
Today the staff and students of Coláiste Cholmcille came together to celebrate the sucesses both in and out of the classroom at our annual awards ceremony. The event is often considered the highlight of the year by many, and today was no exception. This year’s special guest was Dr. Anne Looney, Executive Dean of DCU. The three year term of office of the present Board of Management of the school comes to an end on July 31st 2018. A new Board must be elected before that date. The composition of the Board includes TWO nominees of parents (elected, of which one must be a mother). Parents are invited to nominate a parent/guardian to sit on the Board.
