The U14 Girls Gaelic team put in a tremendous effort on Monday against Coláiste Feriste at the Tyrone Centre of Excellence in Garvaghy in the Ulster semi-final. Despite their best efforts the girls were narrowly defeated by a single point in extra time. It was a game that had everything, from fine scores, diligent passing to intense defending. The pace and tenacity of the game kept everyone on their feet on the sideline. Final score 6-2 to 5-6. Miss Cooney said ‘The team put in a performance to make CCBS proud. On this occasion the girls did not secure their place in this year’s Ulster Final but going forward they are a team to watch!’ The senior management team of Miss Cooney, Mr. S. Maguire and Paul Gillespie agree that they expect to see these girls play at this level in the near future.
