On Thursday, 18th January, 6th year LCVP students along with their teacher Ms. Gallagher visited the RNLI lifeboat station in Bundoran. Mr. Killian O’ Kelly greeted the group and gave the students a very informative talk on the invaluable work carried out by the volunteers at the station. Students got to see the equipment used by the RNLI, such as the lifeboat and tractor. They also got a tour of the station and were brought upstairs to the navigation room where Killian told the group about the area that the lifeboat covers. Students received a valuable insight into the RNLI as voluntary organisation and the invaluable service provided by the 30 volunteers at the Bundoran station. Thank you to Killian O’Kelly and crew for this very enjoyable visit.
