Over 70 TY students and 8 teachers spent the bank holiday weekend in Barcelona. Their journey began at midnight on Saturday night for a 6.15am flight, but there was no sign of exhaustion once they landed on Sunday morning. On Sunday they enjoyed a tour of the city, including the the Ciutadella, the Olympic Park, and La Sagrada Familia followed by the aquarium before they finally headed to their hotel in Salou for the night. On Monday they took in Camp Nou, lunch on the Ramblas and a cable car trip to Montjuic, followed by bowling back in Salou. Tuesday was a major highlight for all as they spent the day in the Port Aventura theme park. The group still had a full day on Wednesday, and managed to take in visit to the beach in Salou, some shopping and a boat trip around the bay before heading back to the hotel. Overall the trip was a great success even though it took most a few days to recover!
