Commiserations to our Under 13 boys team who performed excellently in their Ulster playoff versus St Ciaran’s Ballygawley. The lads put in their best performance of the season and despite leading for long periods of the game the boys were unfortunately beaten after extra time. Darragh Flood Dolan was a real leader from full back and Calum Ayres repeatedly drove the team forward from half back, contributing 3 goals. Daniel Breen Brosnan and Damian Weber were a constant menace to the Ballygawley defence and put over some crucial scores. Ruairi Canavan (son of Peter Canavan) really excelled for Ballygawley. The man of the match award has to go to Aaron Neilan for Colaiste Cholmcille. Aaron drove the team forwarded when it was needed most and contributed 4 goals in a fine all-round performance. Mr Doherty and Mr Maguire were very proud of the boy’s performance and believe that they were very unlucky to finish on the losing side after a performance full of heart and determination. It is clear that there is lots of potential in this team and if they keep training and performing like they did yesterday then success will not be far away in the future.
